Behind the Scenes 6.10.13 – Interview with VP Alex Dee and Some Big News

Another day at the office and it was just as exciting as the ones before! This morning I had the pleasure of interviewing Alex Dee, the Vice President of Fujikura Composites, about the new iron shaft called the MCI. In the video, he discusses what’s so special about MCI as well as why it gives us the best of both worlds between graphite and steel iron shafts.

With the 113th U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club upon us, it only seemed fitting to team up with my fellow intern, Dillon Klein, while filming a quick promotional video for the red, white, and blue commemorative FUEL shaft. We were able to reap the benefits of the state-of-the-art paint room inside Fujkura’s headquarters in Vista, CA. The result was an awesome looking clip of a U.S. Open FUEL that’s ready for action.

Here’s the biggest news of all, though: there is some buzz around the office that a new shaft offering will be presented in the near future. One that is going to be a huge shock to golf enthusiasts around the world, as it has already built up quite the reputation.
